If Needed, Shelters Ready in Yates Co.

If the Yates County Emergency Mangement Office deems it necessary, the Red Cross will set up shelters for residents across the county as a result of Hurricane Sandy.  Here's Chet Briggs, Disaster Volunteer Coordinator with the Yates County Chapter


again, the shelters will only be utilized if the county emergency management office deems them necessary. In Schuyler County, Emergency Management Coordinator Bill Kennedy says no requests have been made for shelters, but that could change as the storm intensifies.
