The hazing death of one of its pledges has resulted in a hefty fine being levied against former Cornell University fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
The fraternity was convicted of several charges, including unlawfully dealing with a child and criminal nuisance. The frat will have to pay the maximum fine on each charge, totaling 12 thousand dollars.
The charges stem from the alcohol related death of George Desdunes in 2011.
