A Schuyler County businessman has pled guilty to two counts of perjury in Schuyler County Court.
50 year old James Cain of Tyrone admitted he lied to the county grand jury that was hearing testimony regarding an allegation of sexual abuse made against him by a former employee. Cain owns Tobey's Bakery in Watkins Glen.
According to the Schuyler County District Attorney's Office, Cain also told the court he lied to the grand jury when he said police never attempted to interview him after they received the sexual abuse complaint.
Cain was sentenced to a conditional discharge and was ordered to pay 25-HUNDRED dollars in fines. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the complainant.
