Firefighters from a half-dozen fire departments responded to a barn fire in Hector Sunday night. Watkins Glen, Lodi, Hector, Ovid, Trumansburg and Burdett all responded to the fire along State Route 414 located near the Walsh Road. The barn, belonging to Anthony Damiani, was completely destroyed and was not covered by insurance. The cause remains under investigation.
