The punishment for a former Dundee man accused of sexually abusing his pre-teen step-daughter was handed down Tuesday. Yates County Court Judge Patrick Falvey sentenced 64 year old Robert Wood to the maximum 1 year in prison, to run concurrently, for the two charges of endangering the welfare of a child he was found guilty of back in May.
Wood was indicted last October on two violent felony charges of course of sexual conduct against a child and single misdemeanor charges of sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. Candy Wood, the mother of the victim, talked about their reaction to the sentencing
Robert Wood was on trial for similar charges in Schuyler County this summer, but Judge Dennis Morris ordered a mistrial while the jury was deliberating.
