This year is the 100th anniversary of the Eagle Scout, which is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America. The title of Eagle Scout is held for life, thus giving rise to the phrase "Once an Eagle, always an Eagle."
Locally, former Boy Scout Bob Taylor, wants to hold an event for all those Boy Scouts in Yates and Schuyler Counties, along with the Hammondsport area, that have earned the Eagle Scout honor....
To RSVP for the October 21st event, call Bob at (607) 243-5678. Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than two million young men.
