Medical Emergency Leads to Penn Yan Man's MVA

A Penn Yan man was involved in a 1-car accident late Monday morning that occurred on Skyline Drive in the town of Jerusalem.

Marshall Gurnee was northbound around 11 a.m. when his car went off the east side of the road and struck a sign post before coming to rest in the ditch.  Gurnee was not injured, but was unconscious and slumped over his steering wheel when emergency personnel arrived on scene.

It was determined the 74 year old suffered an unknown type of medical emergency while driving and he was taken to Geneva General Hospital.
