Cause of Sunday Milo House Fire Determined

Investigators have determined the cause of a Sunday afternoon house fire on Bath Road in Milo that damaged a home.  According to Penn Yan Fire Chief Rick Simpson, something in the trash exploded that was being used to start a fire in a wood stove at the home of Walter Martin.  Simpson said the fire exploded, blowing the glass doors of the stove open and shooting flames into the room.  7 fire companies responded to the blaze.  The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
