On October 6, 2012, the City of Canandaigua Police Department charged Carlos M. Ortiz-Rivera, age 33, who resides at 64 Bristol Street, Canandaigua, with attempted assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a of weapon in the third degree, felonies.
Ortiz-Rivera is accused of attempting to stab a twenty-three year old male with a knife while he sat in a car in the Dollar General parking lot on West Avenue. The male was uninjured.
Ortiz-Rivera was arraigned in City Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail without bail.
