Fire companies from 7 Yates and Steuben County departments were called to battle a house fire Sunday afternoon at 3109 Bath Road in the town of Milo.
When Penn Yan firefighters arrived at the home of Walter Martin, the two story structure was fully engulfed in flames. Mutual aid from Benton, Dresden, Dundee, Himrod, Wayne, and Branchport-Keuka Park were all summoned to the scene.
The American Red Cross is assisting the Martin family. The cause of the fire is not known.
