More tourism money is coming into Ontario County. Finger Lakes Visitors Connection President Valerie Knoblauch confirms revenue collected from the county's 3-per cent per night bed tax charged at hotels, motels and B&B's climbed more 5% on an annual basis.
She likes those numbers.
The tax has been in place since 2001. That tax funds tourism promotion efforts for the county.
