Canandaigua VA's Mobile Clinic Will Provide Flu Vaccines

The Canandaigua VA Medical Center is working with Public Health and Monroe, Ontario and Yates Counties to provide flu vaccinations. Mobile clinics will be located around the area, the first one being at Mendon Ponds Park during the "Pound The Ground For Vets 10K/5K/Walk," today at Mendon Ponds Park in Honeoye Falls. Lucas says there are some things that veterans need to bring to get the vaccine.

Today's Mobile Clinic is from 8:00am-12. Public Health will also be providing vaccines to community members. The next Mobile VA Medical Clinic is slated for October 27th at Eastview Mall.

There is no cost for Veterans. Veterans that are not enrolled in VA Heath Care are asked to bring their DD214 form.

Flu shots are also being provided to veterans every Tuesday through November 13th, by the Canandaigua VA Medical Center.

Veterans are asked to call 585-393-7401 then select the number for their provider to schedule an appointment. The Flu Shot Clinic is located on the 4th Floor of Building # 1. Veterans not enrolled in VA Heath Care are asked to bring their DD214 form with them to determine their eligibility.
