Police had the street closed from Davis to Columbia Street as they searched for evidence and made sure the area was safe. The production of meth involves many chemicals, which can be dangerous if touched or inhaled.
A woman at the home, 26-year old Kimberly Bennett was wanted for petit larceny. She was processed and released.
A man at the scene, 43-year old Jamie Lawson was also arrested and charged with second degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and was sent to the Chemung County Jail without bail.
An investigation is continuing and police expect more charges to be filed.
