We don't know how soon it will happen but it will be a shock to the Western Finger Lakes economy. Employees at the General Motors fuel cell plant in Honeoye Falls were told this morning that the plant is being shutdown.
In a statement company Kim Carpenter said " the company plans to relocate the Honeoye Falls Fuel Cell activities to our Global Powertrain Engineering Headquarters in Pontiac, Michigan. This decision has significant business advantages for the company." Some 220 area jobs will be impacted
