Geneva Man Arrested with 10lbs of Marijuana

On October 4th, 2012 the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Angnem G. Green, age 29 from 2 West Avenue Geneva, NY for Attempted Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 1st degree (D Felony).  The arrest stems from an investigation that began on December 1st, 2011 where a Seneca Falls resident received a package through the mail. When the individual opened the package they discovered a large amount of marijuana inside.

The individual immediately called the 911 Center to report what they had found to the police. It was then discovered that the marijuana weighed approximately 10 pounds with a street value of roughly $50,000.   Further investigation discovered that the package was sent from Arizona and was intended to be picked up by Green at the subjects residence in Seneca Falls.  Green was later found in the City of Geneva and arrested with the assistance of the Geneva Police Department. Green was arraigned in Town of Junius Court in front of Judge Laird and committed to the Seneca County correctional Facility with no bail.  A Felony Hearing is scheduled in the Town of Junius Court for October 9th, 2012 at 7:30 PM.
