The ex-Geneva Chamber Office on the Lake Front is still scheduled for demolition soon despite some reservations about what comes next on the property. Geneva City Manager Matt Horn says groundbreaking there for the Finger Lakes Boating Museum and Visitors Center should be done before the snow flies.
The City has 2.4 million dollars in state money on hand. Democratic Council members have expressed concern about what happens if private donations for the museum falter.
There is a 90 minute public information session on the project Thursday night that will feature presentations and a q and A period with the projects designers. That meeting starts at 6 at the Geneva Neighborhood Resource Center Office at 105 Seneca St.
