The Geneva City Council agreed Wednesday night to donate $5,000 to the playground effort.

They are upping the ante a little bit. The Geneva Community Lakefront Playground Committee has surpassed it the 100-thousand dollar fund raising goal set months ago and now the Committee's Jeremy Wattles says they are looking for an extra 20-thousand dollars for some elements that had been dropped because of budget restrictions.
There are two new fundraising events on the calender. On Sunday, Nov. 4, there is a "Relay for Play" at the Bristol Field House, then a "Battle of the Bands" fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 2nd at the Smith.
Volunteer to help with the October 20th playground build.
