575 high schoolers from 26 Districts in Ontario, Wayne, Yates and Seneca Counties are signed up for the 7th annual “Finger Lakes Works with their Hands” event tomorrow (Thursday). It's put on by the Finger Lakes Workforce Development office. Executive Director Karen Springmeier says it's a way to spark career interest in the skilled trades and advanced manufacturing.
Springmeier says there are a lot of good paying jobs out there for people with the right skills.
The event goes from 8:00am to 2:30pm at the Rodman Lott and Son Farms near Seneca Falls.
