Some hearts skipped a beat this afternoon when EMT's were called out to Marcus Whitman Junior Senior High in Rushville on a report of a car- school bus collision. We have learned that the accident happened in the school parking lot and it's been listed as a fender bender. Under state law EMT's have to check over all students involved.
The bus was from the Dundee Schools was picking up students who spent part of the day at the BOCES facilty co-located at Whitman . 8 to 10 students were reportedly on the bus.
The incident did make people a little jumpy today . It's less than a month since 11 people suffered minor injuries when a pick up and a Marcus Whitman bus crashed on a foggy Friday morning. The Whitman bus last month was knocked on it's side.
