The Cayuga Indian Nation is getting out of the cattle business.
In the latest issue of the Finger Lakes Pennysaver, the tribe has a full page advertisement announcing a "complete and total dispersal" of their Lake View Cattle Company's herd and equipment.
The auction is set for November 10th at their East Bayard Street Extension site in Seneca Falls.
According to their website, their "herd consists of Angus genetics that include some of the most popular and proven cow families in the breed, encompassing traits for each segment of the beef business."
The auction will include all their equipment and 250 head of of cattle.
The Cayuga Nation owns and operates the Lake Side Trading Gas Stations in Seneca Falls and Union Springs, as well as several other businesses including an ice cream stand, fruit and vegetable stand, and a cigarette manufacturing facility.
