Oswego County Deputy In July Boat Accident Recovering Well

July 31st was a sunny just right Saturday afternoon. 2 brothers and a friend went for a boat ride on Lake Ontario near McIntyre Bluffs. There would be a mechanical failure. They would lose control of the boat. The brothers 19-year old Christopher Pritchard and 22-year old Matthew Pritchard, both of  Oswego would get tossed overboard as the boat started going around in circles at 30 miles per hour.  A woman on board 22-year old Ashlie Crawford of Oswego would  be knocked out. Fortunately a Cayuga County Sheriff's Boat wasn't all that far off and rescued the trio. Matthew Pritchard nearly lost his right foot. Cayuga County Sheriff Dave Gould reports Pritchard has been recovering well.

Ironically Matthew Pritchard had just started as an Oswego County Deputy that weekend.
