Auburn Releases Video in Bark For Your Park Contest

CAYUGA COUNTY -- There's just three weeks left to vote in the Bark For Your Park contest, sponsored by PetSafe. Auburn is one of 15 finalists up for three substantial cash prizes --- $100,000 for first place, $25,000 for both second and third -- to help pay for a dog park near the traffic circle in Fleming.

Each city had to recently post a video on the contest's website, and Auburn's is inventive -- showing the lack of place for a dog to run around off leash, told from the ground-level perspective of a dog named Cam.

Cam then goes to the Auburn YMCA, where Executive Director Kam Cramer that no dogs are allowed. Cam then tried the county tourism office, talking with a sympathetic Meg Vanek.

In this section of the video, Cam the dog talks with County Administrator Tom Squires and Parks Director Gary Duckett.
