Update: Cause of Nelson Street Fire Known

Update, 6/10 at 1:45: More than 24 hours removed from an apartment fire on Nelson Street, Auburn Fire Chief Jeff Dygert tells Finger Lakes News Radio they know what happened.

Three people from the building and two firefighters were injured.

Auburn fire crews were scrambling Monday morning dealing with nearly back to back apartment house fires. Fire Chief Jeff Dygert says the first call was to a building on Cottage street around 8:30 this morning.

The cause of that fire appears to be electrical. As firefighters wrapped up on Cottage Street another call came in for a second fire, this time on Nelson Street.

Dygert says three people from that building and two firefighters were sent to the hospital for observation.
