Vote in Penn Yan Today for Mayor

Residents of the village of Penn Yan will head to the polls today to elect a new mayor and four village trustees.

Bob Church is not seeking re-election for mayor, but instead is running unopposed to complete Mike Christensen's two year term on the village board that Christensen vacated when he became Milo Town Justice late last year.  Former Mayor Leigh MacKerchar is running unopposed for the village's top spot.

Trustees David Reeve and Willie Allison are being challenged by Carolyn Benedict, Robert Hawley and Ron Dailey.  Voters will choose three of the 5.

Voting takes place at the Village Hall  from noon until 9 p.m.
