The Wall Street Journal yesterday featured a story about the world's best chicken wings, the Blue Bayou wings from Abigails Restaurant in Seneca Falls.
New York City food writer Joshua David Stein recently visited Upstate New York to try the wings judged "the best in the world" in the new documentary "The Great Chicken Wing Hunt."
Stein writes that he wanted to taste the best wings. "According to the most widely accepted origin story, Buffalo wings were invented in 1964 by Teressa Bellissimo, a recent emigrant from Italy, at the Anchor Bar in downtown Buffalo, N.Y. What I was looking for, though, was not the original wing, but the best one."

The Great Chicken Wing Hunt was filmed in part at the Finger Lakes Radio Group stations in Geneva where film director and Lyons native Matt Reynolds discovered the Blue Bayou wings in 2007.
The move, which was shown recently at the Smith Opera House in Geneva and the Ohmann Theater in Lyons, will be shown at tomorrow at the Little Theater in Rochester. It is also available for a download on iTunes and Hulu.
