Yates K-9 Officers Awarded Protective Vests

The Yates County Sheriff's Department's two K-9 dogs, Kinni and Hasko, will be receiving bullet and stab protective vests - free of charge, next month.  Sheriff Ron Spike explains how this gift came about.

Sheriff Spike says the K-9's play an important role in law enforcement.

Vested Interest says each protective vest costs $950 and has a 5 year warranty. The non-profit was established five years ago and, so far, has provided body armor for 580 four legged K9 officers.
