Now that Governor Cuomo has released his budget proposal, the horse trading begins in the legislature. Assemblyman Bob Oaks says the Ways and Means Committee, on which he's the ranking Republican member, will begin holding budget hearings.
Oaks says he and his GOP colleagues will also offer alternatives to the Governor's plan.

The deadline to pass the budget is April 1st. Oaks was a recent guest on the Finger Lakes Morning News. You can hear the full conversation here.
