Finger Lakes Community College is among the SUNY campuses gearing up to host new businesses under the STARTUP New York economic development program. Joseph Nairn, Executive Director of Advancement at FLCC says the program's guidelines are a good fit with what the college is already doing in terms of preparing its graduates to enter the workforce.
Nairn says in addition to the main campus, there are five other FLCC locations that qualify as STARTUP New York locations.
Nairn says new business recruitment efforts are underway, with announcements of new businesses coming as early as this spring. Nairn was a guest on our Scholastically Speaking segment on the Finger Lakes Morning News. You can hear the full conversation here.
