Judge Doran: Courts Suffering from Albany Cuts

A lot of eyes will be on Governor Andrew Cuomo today as he gives his budget speech. Judge Craig Doran will be among the viewers. The 7th Judicial Court administrative judge, who presides over eight counties, tells Finger Lakes New Radio financial cutbacks from Albany has made their jobs even tougher.

Nevertheless, Judge Doran says the courts are still crowded.

Doran says the courts have remained open despite the cuts, and hopes Cuomo will release his grip and allow for money to trickle down.

Doran's jurisdiction includes Wayne, Seneca, Ontario, Cayuga, and Yates counties. Cuomo will be giving his budget address this afternoon at two o'clock.

We'll stream the speech on Finger Lakes Daily News. Doran was a guest on the Finger Lakes Morning News. Listen to the full interview here.
