NY SAFE Act Leads to 1,100+ Felony Charges

It's been almost a full year since the New York SAFE Act was passed in Albany. Under the tough gun control law, more than 11 hundred felony gun charges have been filed statewide. The law made selling AR-15 semi-automatic guns illegal, and charges were upgraded from misdemeanors to felonies.

In addition, the state's Division of Criminal Justice says there's only been a single person charged with selling an assault weapon, which includes AR-15s.
