Grant Brings Broadband Internet Access to New Parts of Yates County

Broadband access will be expanding in Upstate New York thanks to a new grant from Empire State Development.  Almost thirty thousand residents and two thousand businesses will have access to high speed internet.  The grants will give internet to underserved and rural communities.  There will be an open access fiber network in Yates County.  The hope behind this grant is that people and businesses that face obstacles in connecting to high speed internet due to their location will be able to connect with the world at large through the internet.
