Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP)

Dine and Discuss Series

Finger Lakes Health will kick off the Spring Dine & Discuss series on Monday, May 20 with the program: “Transitional Care: Your Prescription for Independence”. The program will begin with a full dinner at 6 p.m. at Belhurst Castle, Geneva.

                Terri Haskins, RNPC, a Hospitalist with Finger Lakes Health, will be the presenter. She will educate attendees on what the Transitional Care Program is and what it does for patients. Additionally, the program will describe the recently renovated Transitional Care Unit at Living Center at Geneva-South.

The dinner and discussion are $10 per person. Reservations and payment are required a minimum of three business days prior to the event and may be made by calling (315) 787-4636 or (315) 531-2053 or online at www.flhealth.org/events.

Taylor-Brown Golf Tournament
10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

The Taylor-Brown Auxiliary is sponsoring its 17th
annual golf tournament on Friday, June 7, at the Seneca Falls Country
Club to benefit the residents of the Huntington Living Center. Anyone
interested in participating is invited to contact Linda Quackenbush at

Assistant Administratorat Huntington Living Center, at (315) 787-4949.
 
The tournament is a four-person scramble and teams are being formed
now.  The cost is $65 per golfer, which includes a golf cart, lunch,
full dinner, basket drawings, and a hole-in-one contest. Shotgun start
begins at 10 a.m.
Sponsorship opportunities are available and interested businesses may
contact a member of the organizing committee.
Taylor-Brown Auxiliary supports the residents of the Huntington Living
Center through special projects and fundraising events throughout the
year.

KCCH Golf Tournament
12:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Lakeside Country Club in Penn Yan will host the Annual KCCH Golf Tournament on Monday, May 20th.  Golfers will want to include this fun outing on their calendars.  A 1:00 p.m. shotgun start will open the traditional 4 person scramble format.  Included in the $95.00 per player price (early bird price of $75.00 until April 15th) are carts, lunch, greens fees and hors d’oevres. 

 

There are opportunities for individuals and businesses to show their support for Keuka Comfort Care Home through Hole Sponsorships ($75.00) or Food Sponsorship ($500.00), each of which will showcase individuals and businesses with signage and in print media.       

 

The tournament will conclude with a new and exciting twist:  the Re/Max for Comfort Care Hot Air Balloon Golf Ball Drop, in which the public can participate.  The community is invited to purchase numbered golf balls at $5.00 each prior to the drop, and then to attend the drop from the hot air balloon at the end of the tournament, at approximately 5:30 p.m.  Winners will share in the proceeds – 15% of the Ball Drop profits for a ball in the hole, 10% for the nearest to the hole, and 5% for the second nearest.
