How Does Your Garden Grow?
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
How Does Your Garden Grow?
It's gardening season and the weather is finally cooperating! Whether you are starting a vegetable garden for the first time or have been gardening for years, there are always things that come up that you have questions about. Should I be adding anything to my soil? How much should I plant of each variety? Which varieties should I try? When should I plant peas or lettuce or tomatoes or peppers? Which veggies grow best from seeds and which should I buy as transplants? Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension (SCCCE) has just the workshop for you! The Seneca Falls and Ovid libraries are each hosting a workshop series titled "How Does Your Garden Grow?" and the May workshop is a time for you to bring your gardening questions and have them answered! Presented by SCCCE Master Gardeners, the May gathering will be a question and answer session, led by the Master Gardeners, but taking questions from the attendees. This Q&A session is the perfect opportunity to bring in a plant that may have a disease or insect damage to determine what should be done. Or bring in an insect to be identified. Any gardening question is welcome!
The Seneca Falls workshop is Thursday, May 23rd from 6:00-7:00PM. Workshops are free of charge thanks to support of Seneca Meadows. All workshops take place at the library at 47 Cayuga Street, Seneca Falls. Advance registration is encouraged and appreciated so we can better plan for the classes. Please call the Seneca Falls Library at 315-568-8265 to sign up or call SCCCE at 315-539-9251.
