Auburn Rotary Centennial Clock Project
7:00 AM - 10:00 AM

It's not too late to be part of the Auburn Rotary Club's Centennial Clock project this year. The Auburn Rotary Club is donating a gorgeous Verdin street clock to the City of Auburn to commemorate Auburn's 200th anniversary.

Purchase a name sponsorship to this for as little as $300.  Honor the memory of a loved one, perpetuate a family name or just show community support!

Or if you so choose, make a donation to help the Auburn Rotary Club continue with its great community service.

The clock will be unveiled and dedicated during Memorial Day weekend, Monday, May 25th.

Maple Marketing Workshop

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Cornell Cooperative Extension Center

480 North Main Street

Canandaigua, NY 14424

Canandaigua, NY- Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County is offering a Maple Marketing Workshop on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The workshop will be held at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Center, 480 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424.

This workshop will be taught by Stephen Childs, New York State Maple Specialist, Department of Natural Resources at Cornell University. The first half of this workshop will feature an overview of the options available to maple producers when marketing maple products.  This overview will look at the variety of maple products that are successfully being marketed as well as the diversity of marketing tactics that can be used to expand sales.

The second half will be hands-on market planning that will walk each maple producer through a process of pulling together a marketing plan.  A marketing plan helps a maple business focus on the next most important steps to increasing sales, and improving profits while at the same time keeping the business livable for the family and staff involved.  There are four basic worksheets that assist with this planning process.  See if within one concentrated hour you can come away with a good start on a marketing plan for better sales and profit.

Participants will receive a copy of the bulletin “Beginning or Expanding Maple Syrup Operations as a Profitable Business!” and the new “Selling Maple Wholesale Notebook”, a combined value of $32.00.

The fee is $25.00 per person. To register or for additional information, contact Cornell Cooperative Extension at 585-394-3977 x 427 or email nea8@cornell.edu with your name, address, and phone number.
