Canning Tailgate Salsa

Saturday, September 6, 2014

9:00 am – Noon

Cornell Cooperative Extension Center

480 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424

Canandaigua, NY - It may only be August but before you know it, the cool autumn air will arrive signaling the end of summer.  Football fans are gearing up for their favorite season and the festivities that accompany football games. Whether you're watching the game from your living room or tailgating, salsa is a main attraction at most gatherings.  Rather than serving store-bought salsa, come learn to make and can your own with Local Food Educator, Hope Galens. Fresh, locally grown tomatoes and peppers are the star ingredients of homemade salsa that can be enjoyed now or for months from now.

Fee: $15.00 per person. Space is limited, so register early!

Pre-registration is requested by September 3, 2014. To pre-register contact Nancy at 585-394-3977 x 427 or email nea8@cornell.edu with your name, address, and phone number.
