Hidden Valley 4-H camp is a co-ed day and overnight camp for ALL 8-17 year old youth, situated in magnificent Watkins Glen State Park since 1945, our goal is to help campers gain independence, learn new skills and create lasting friendships. Campers get excited about learning because we promote positive youth development and connect youth to Cornell University! We are an American Camp Association (ACA) accredited camp.

Taylor-Brown Golf Tournament

The Taylor-Brown Auxiliary is sponsoring its 17th annual golf tournament on Friday, June 7, at the Seneca Falls Country Club to benefit the residents of the Huntington Living Center. Anyone interested in participating is invited to contact Linda Quackenbush at (315) 539-8163; Parthena Freeman at (315) 787-4920; or Debbie Lockett, Assistant Administratorat Huntington Living Center, at (315) 787-4949. The tournament is a four-person scramble and teams are being formed now. The cost is $65 per golfer, which includes a golf cart, lunch, full dinner, basket drawings, and a hole-in-one contest. Shotgun start begins at 10 a.m. Sponsorship opportunities are available and interested businesses may contact a member of the organizing committee. Taylor-Brown Auxiliary supports the residents of the Huntington Living Center through special projects and fundraising events throughout the year.

Finger Lakes Metal Fest 2013 has announced this year’s band line-up for the free, all ages music event featuring all types of heavy metal bands from around the Finger Lakes region of New York and multiple raffles/prizes.
Location: DONSELAAR’S, 10257 Rt. 31, Clyde, New York 14433. Just outside of town. When: May 18th Cost: FREE Doors open at 12pm Saturday and event ends at 2am Sunday

How much firewood can I cut? Do I have a lot of "good" trees? Maple producers and woodlot owners often need to know specific details about the volume or number of trees they have. This interactive workshop will guide owners or tree enthusiasts through the process of learning why and how to sample and measure trees in a sugarbush or woodlot. Dr. Peter Smallidge, Department of Natural Resources, Cornell University is the instructor. Participants should bring a clipboard and pencil. The workshop is outdoors with modest gentle walking.
