Fifth Annual Bed and Breakfast Tour
11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Fifth Annual Bed and Breakfast Tour

Local residents and visitors will have the opportunity to explore the art of Finger Lakes hospitality this spring during the Arts Center of Yates County’s fifth annual Bed and Breakfast Tour.

The tour, which takes place on Saturday, April 30 from 11:00AM to 5:00PM, includes B&B’s in Penn Yan, Prattsburgh and on the western side of Keuka Lake.  Participants will have the opportunity to talk with the innkeepers and see common areas and guest rooms in each of the participating establishments, as well as getting a taste of some of the culinary expertise offered by the inns.  Local artists will be on hand at each site, creating work inspired by their surroundings.  This year’s tour participants will also be treated to a free wine-tasting at Hunt Country Vineyards during the tour and will have the opportunity to win a two night stay at the featured B&B of their choice.

The featured B&B’s this year include Amber Waves Bed and Breakfast and Feather Tick ‘n Thyme Bed and Breakfast, both in Prattsburgh; Penn Yan’s Aubergine Bed and Breakfast and The Wagener Estate Bed and Breakfast; and Moon Shadow Bed and Breakfast in Hammondsport.

Each B&B provides a unique experience along with top notch hospitality.  Amber Waves is a working farm, with each guest room decorated in a different historic theme or period.  Aubergine Bed and Breakfast is a finely restored example of Second Empire architecture on one of Penn Yan’s historic “carriage era” avenues.  Feather Tick ‘n Thyme’s event barn makes this country Victorian home an ideal location for gatherings of all kinds while Moon Shadow B&B reflects a contemporary update of a classic farmhouse, with a lake overlook.  One of the first homes in Penn Yan, The Wagener Estate Bed and Breakfast is on both the State and National Register of Historic Places.

Early bird tickets for the 2016 B&B Tour are $30 each or $27 each for groups of three or more when purchased in advance.  On the day of the event, tickets are $34 each.  Tickets may be purchased at the Arts Center of Yates County, 127 Main Street in Penn Yan, by calling the Arts Center at 315-536-8226 or emailing artscenter@ycac.org.  All proceeds from the Tour benefit the Arts Center, a nonprofit community organization dedicated to enriching the lives of Finger Lakes artists, residents and visitors by providing opportunities for active participation in the arts.
