We will be collecting toys for the children living within the shelters of the Cayuga Seneca Community Action Agency Inc. Battered Women's Program.  Please open your hearts and donate a toy(s) for these young children who need a little hope and happiness during the holidays.  Let them continue to believe in the spirit of Christmas, Santa Clause and the love that mankind still possess.  Please wrap all donations, also write approx. age rage and if it is for a boy or girl.  For your generosity we will be giving you a free tan at your the time of your donation drop off.

Making fragrant evergreen wreaths is a creative and fun way to get in the Holiday spirit. Roger VanNostrand, Master Gardener will be conducting a wreath making workshop on Thursday December 4, 2014, 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Cooperative Extension Center, 480 North Main Street, Canandaigua.

All materials including wreath frames, wire, greens, natural trim items, and bows will be provided to make a 12 inch diameter wreath.

Participants are urged to bring their own hand pruners, gloves, and any favorite natural materials suitable for this sized wreath.

 

Roger will demonstrate how to make and trim a natural wreath. He and other Master Gardeners will assist those needing help in assembling their wreaths. Roger will also demonstrate briefly how to make decorative roping which is very similar to making a wreath.

Fee: $15.00/person covers the cost of materials for one wreath per person.

Registration requested by Monday, November 24, 2014. Space will be limited so register early.
