Lake to Lake Women Calendar

Second Milo Baptist Church Yard Sale
6:00 AM - 12:00 AM

The Second Milo Baptist Church will have their annual yard sale, bake sale and luncheon from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on July 11. Bake sale and beverages will be available all day and the hamburgers, hot dogs and sausages will be available from 10:00 a.m.

A $5.00/bag sale will start at 1;00 P.M.

Cooking Matters at the Store

Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) is pleased to announce three new Cooking Matters Tours to be held this year at Tops Friendly Markets. They will be held on Tuesday July 7th starting at 10am and lasting about an hour.  Sign up for the tour which fits your schedule by contacting the Seneca County CCE office at 315-539-9251 or email seneca@cornell.edu.  Please register to reserve your space to allow for planning of enough materials.

Tours will be led by CCE’s own Nutrition Educators, Devra Rivkin and Moira Tidball. Cooking Matters at the Store is a hands-on educational event geared to increase consumer awareness of the layout of the store and how to increase your buying power. The focus of the tours is to increase ones knowledge between choosing fresh, frozen or canned fruits and vegetables, comparing unit prices to find bargains, reading and comparing food labels to find the healthiest option, and identifying whole grains. Each person who completes the tours receives a ten dollar store card to spend on healthy, affordable groceries in our Shopping Challenge. 



Rose Hill Mansion Opens

The Rose Hill Mansion will open for the 2015 season on Friday, May 1. Administered by the Geneva Historical Society, the Greek Revival mansion and National Historical Landmark perches above Seneca Lake in the heart of the Finger Lakes.

Rose Hill Mansion is located at 3373 Route 96A, about a mile south of Routes 5&20, near Geneva, New York. The house is open May 1 to October 31, Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Mondays and July 4. The last daily tour is at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, at 4 p.m. on Saturday and 5 p.m. on Sundays. The grounds are open year round, free of charge.

Tools For Social Change

Tuesdays, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at the Mount Olive Church, 70 Clark Street, Geneva, NY. Tools for Social Change foster community-wide dialogue about current issues in Geneva, and seeks to build up all parts of our community. All are welcome.

Bloomfield Rotary's Concerts in the Park
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

The Bloomfield Rotary presents the “Trace Wilkins and Everheart” (Irish, country, rock, and blues) on Tuesday, July 7th from 7:00-9:00 PM at Elton Park in Bloomfield.  In case of rain the concert will move to the East Bloomfield United Methodist Church.  Bottled water and hot dogs will be available.  Donations support the many Rotary projects that benefit our community.  Bring a lawn chair and be prepared for a delightful evening!  For more information, contact Suzie Coleman at 657-2140.
