Are you operating a winery or planning to start a winery and have questions about the label approval process? Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension will hold a Wine Label Approval Workshop on Thursday, March 26th from 6:00pm -7:30pm at Vince's Park in Seneca Falls. Vince's Park is at the intersection of Rte 318 and Rte 5&20 in Seneca Falls.
Demaris Brown, labeling specialist with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau will speak on the wine label approval process. Demaris has been with the Advertising, Labeling and Formulation Division (ALFD) of the TTB for nearly five years. She has a Master of Arts in Education and 12 years in quality assurance with the U.S. Navy. She grew up in Southern California in the midst of wine country and always knew she would play a role in the industry. Demaris analyzes and evaluates label submissions and assists industry members with getting their products to market by complying with federal regulatory requirements. She collaborates on various initiatives to streamline the requirement process for reducing regulatory burden on industry and enhancing efficiencies for internal staff. She is a certified Contract Officer Representative who manages internal administrative processes for the labeling program.
This event will be free for those enrolled in the Finger Lakes Grape Program or $10 for those not enrolled in the Finger Lakes Grape Program. Please register if you plan on attending.
