WOOD LIBRARY TRUSTEES TO HOST WOOD WINE AND SONG

Public invited to annual benefit to support Canandaigua library

Wood Library trustees invite the public to a gala fundraiser to be held Friday, September 7, 2012,  from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Sonnenberg Mansion and Gardens, 150 Charlotte Street, Canandaigua, NY.  This annual event generates important income that supports Wood Library’s ongoing services and programs.

The event will feature catered delights from A Touch of Class, a sampling of the finest regional wines, and music by T.W.O.  Guests will have the opportunity to bid on a wonderful array of items during a live auction emceed by The Honorable Brian Kolb.  The auction items include:  a Canandaigua Lake sunset cruise for four on a 25-ft Catalina yacht complete with cocktails and hors d’ouevres, a one week stay in a spacious fully furnished flat in the picturesque medieval Tuscan town of Monteleone, a 5-course dinner with wine pairings prepared by Wegmans Executive Chef Mark Makovec in his lovely lakeside home, and 5 “hotlaps” around the Watkins Glen Racetrack in a Corvette.  Guests will also be able to bid on silent auction items and buy a raffle ticket for a diamond pendant from The Gem Lab (Rochester, NY).  For information about these and other auction items, go to the library’s website at www.woodlibrary.org. 

Friends and neighbors alike will enjoy this memorable evening to benefit one of Canandaigua’s most important assets—Wood Library.  Tickets are $75 per person and may be purchased at the library or by going to www.woodlibrary.org/wws.  Beverages and hors d’ouevres are included in the admission price.
