THE OSWEGO VALLEY FIDDLERS

The Oswego Valley Fiddlers will present a musical concert at Willard Memorial Chapel on Sunday, September 16, 2012.  The group formed in 1988 as a Chapter of the New York State Old Tyme Fiddler’s Association.

They perform traditional tunes and styles which have been passed down through teaching, performing and jamming through New York State.   This type of music sometimes is clearly American, like those written by cowboys, settlers, sailors and railroad builders…but it can also have the influence of mountain music, Cajun and blue grass.  Information on the group can be obtained at www.nysotfa.com (Chapter page OVFA).
