Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES will be offering a Commercial Wind Information Session for prospective students who wish to gain technical training involving wind turbines. The next information session regarding Commercial Wind Training will take place on May 7, 2012 at 7 pm,locatedat Wayne Technical and Career Center, 4440 Ridge Road, Williamson.

In just a few short decades wind energy has matured dramatically, making wind one of the fastest growing sources of electricity in the world today. Due to technological advancements, policy initiatives, and economic drivers, wind energy is now able to make a cost-competitive contribution to our growing energy needs. The growing popularity of wind energy has driven the demand for a skilled workforce with technical training involving wind turbines and commercial wind. The classes offered through Commercial Wind will train students for this growing demand.
