From Planning to Canning iCal

Thursday, June 14 2012 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Enjoying the nice weather and itching to plant something?  Are you paging through seed catalogues and deciding what to plant?  Do you want this year to be the one where you finally get that vegetable garden planted?  Seneca County Cornell Cooperative Extension (SCCCE) has just the remedy for you!  Our new series of workshops, “From Planning to Canning: Workshops to Prepare You For a Great Gardening Season” will give you all the information you need to know.  Whether you are new to gardening or an old pro, these monthly workshops will give you valuable information to help turn your thumb green!  Presented by SCCCE Master Gardeners and Human Ecology staff, the workshops will be held at the Edith B. Ford Memorial Library in Ovid.
The Ovid workshops will be held on the second Thursday of each month from March through September from 6:30-7:30PM.  Workshops are $5 each.  All workshops take place at the Edith B. Ford Memorial Library, Main Street, Ovid except the August food preservation class which will be held at the Ovid Fire Department kitchen on Brown Street in Ovid.
Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of gardening or preserving.
