Yates women invited to apply for study grant

 There is still time to apply for the $1,000 grant being offered by the Yates County Branch of the American Association of University women (AAUW) for 2012. Any Yates County woman returning to college-level study after an interruption of at least six months is invited to submit an application.

 The grant is named in memory of Marcia Dugan, a Yates County advocate for issues related to education. Applicants for the grant must be accepted into a degree program at a two-year or four-year college, or an advanced-degree program. The deadline for submitting a completed application is April 30, 2012. The grant, awarded annually, is intended to help make college-level study more accessible to local women.
