Season Extension of Fresh Vegetables: Use of Low Tunnels Tuesday, March 27, 2012 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm Cornell Cooperative Extension Center 480 North Main Street, Canandaigua, NY 14424 Canandaigua, NY – Molly Shaw, Cornell Cooperative Extension agriculture specialist and home gardener from Tioga County will share the season extension techniques and tools she uses in her garden. This includes using row covers, low, caterpillar and high tunnels to keep her family eating home grown veggies almost all winter. You’ll also hear about the best cold hardy crops for our climate and the varieities that are suited for these winter gardening methods. This class is aimed at home gardeners and farmers interested in extending the season of fresh vegetables.
