When:  Sunday, May 18, 2014, 2 PM – 4 PM

Where: Willard Memorial Chapel, 17 Nelson Street, Auburn, NY  13021

Organist and native New Yorker Kristen Schussler is coming to Willard Chapel to put our historic Steere and Turner Tracker organ through its paces.  In the acoustically superior chapel with its soaring ceiling, performer and instrument will amaze you with the beauty and power of music that you literally will feel with your body!

Bach to the Future: An Afternoon of German Organ Music will feature works of prominent German composers through the centuries beginning with Bach, the master of the instrument, before launching into Mendelssohn, Brahms, and Reger, among others.

Ms. Schussler originally hails from Waterloo, New York, and grew up playing the organ for various local churches before pursuing study of the instrument in higher education.  An alumna of Ithaca College’s School of Music, she currently is studying for a Master’s degree of Church Music at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee.

Tickets for this concert are $10 at the door.  Proceeds benefit the Willard Chapel.  The chapel’s main entrance is on the south-facing side of the building, reached via Nelson Street.  A fully accessible entrance is located off Seymour Street on the building’s north side.  Please call the chapel at (315) 252-0339 for more information, or visit our website at
