Bee A Honeybee Helper!

Saturday, March 8, 2014

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County

480 North Main Street

Canandaigua, NY 14424

Canandaigua, NY-Honeybees do more than just make delicious local honey for us to enjoy. They are crucial for pollinating local plants and local trees that provide us with fruits, vegetables and nuts. Unfortunately, honeybees are in crisis and are dying by the thousands. Marianne Stahl and other members of the Ontario County Beekeepers Association will lead us in a family-friendly, interactive program with hands-on activities and giveaways. Learn all about honeybees and what you can do to help give them a secure future in Ontario County. Hope Galens, Local Food Educator with Cornell Cooperative Extension, will also have a table featuring local honey and other food tastings. This program is best suited for children ages 8 and up and adults. Make sure to pre-register so we have enough goodies for everyone!

Class fee: $5 per person/$15 max per family

Pre-registration is requested by March 6, 2014 by calling Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County at 585-394-3977 x427 or email Nancy at with your name, address, and phone number.
