Bare Bones Trombone Quartet iCal

Sunday, March 16 2014 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM

Please join us in welcoming central New York’s Bare Bones Trombone Quartet to the Willard Chapel!  This audience-friendly, jovial group has played together for years and its members may claim many decades’ worth of musical performance.  Individually they have performed with United States military bands, brass and jazz bands, Gap Mangione’s “Big Band”, and too many others to list.  They are band and ensemble directors, music professors and even “Mr. Smooth” himself, known for his mellow sound.

Bare Bones has a repertoire as big as its expertise.  You may hear them play music from Bach to Basie!  After all, there’s more than six centuries’ worth of trombone music and history to choose from.  And it will all ring extra bright and true thanks to the chapel’s acoustically fine construction.

This concert benefits the Community Preservation Committee’s care of the Willard Memorial Chapel.  Admission is $10 per person at the door.  The chapel is handicap-accessible through its north entrance off Seymour Street.
