Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home iCal

Saturday, December 7 2013 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Join the Unitarian Universalist Church of Canandaigua Saturday, December 7th at 3PM for a free screening of the award-winning documentary, PEACEABLE KINGDOM: THE JOURNEY HOME.

A riveting story of transformation and healing, Peaceable Kingdom explores the awakening conscience of several people who grew up in traditional farming culture and who have now come to question the basic assumptions of their way of life.

With strikingly honest interviews and rare footage demonstrating the emotional lives and intense family bonds of animals most often viewed as living commodities, this groundbreaking documentary shatters stereotypical notions of farmers, farm life, and perhaps most surprisingly, farm animals themselves.

The film will be introduced by film subject and former farmer Harold Brown, and followed by a Question and Answer session.

Free vegan snacks will be provided.

Screening will take place at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Canandaigua, located at 3024 Cooley Road, Canandaigua NY.
